Our elected delegates attended the NYSUT Representative Assembly from May 1 to 2. The Representative Assembly, often called the RA, is NYSUT’s statewide convention, where elected delegates from local unions come together to conduct union business and represent their members.
At the RA, delegates vote on resolutions, which are formal proposals used to take positions, set priorities, or direct NYSUT to take action on issues affecting members, workplaces, public education, labor rights, and communities. Our delegates participated on behalf of UCE of FIT members and helped bring our local’s voice into the statewide union conversation.
